Just going for a WILD guess here but my internship will be really different than most of my other classmates's. I'm interning at "Lions Tigers and Bears". They host an animal sanctuary for they're recusesd exotic animals. Before residing at Lions Tigers and Bears these animals were poorly raised, neglected, and abused by pervious care-takers. Now, based on what I saw today they're living the dream.
When I first arrived at my Internship I was given a tour of the whole sanctuary. It was really cool because, apart from seeing the animals in general, they all have different personalities. One of the first animals we saw was a grizzly bear who was lying on his back scratching his belly in the sun.
My mentor let me know that this internship will be very hands-on and I will have a lot of choice at what I want to do to help out. One of the main jobs I have will be to prepare food for the animals, and taking care of the domesticated animals. But my mentor said that I could help with many differnt things as well. Such as, making ad-like videos, volunteer board, building, and tours. I think this is going to be a great place to intern. Stay tuned for the rest of my blog posts when I start my internship Jan 4- Feb-3.
